About

"With a voice as bold and beguiling as the songs she chooses, Straw carries the torch of traditional folk music with striking elegance and a fierce breath of originality…” - Triad City Beat

Drawing on the deep well of traditional music from the British Isles and America, Lindsay Straw puts her own spin on ageless songs with her intricate guitar and Irish bouzouki playing. Performing both solo and with groups like The Ivy Leaf and The New Grown-ups, she’s performed throughout the US and Ireland, playing everything from folk festivals and house concerts to weddings and farmers markets. She also teaches privately and at the annual Zoukology weekend (NM) and through the Passim School of Music (MA).

Lindsay spent the last couple years as part of the marketing team at Carter Vintage Guitars (formerly The North American Guitar), and her compositions and arrangements can be heard in countless guitar demos for Cedar Rock Studio & Guitar Gallery, The Music Emporium, TNAG, and CVG. She also hosted the Talking Guitar podcast.
