Concerts for Seniors
Over the years, I have played for countless senior centers, assisted living and nursing homes, so I know the importance of delivering a performance that will connect with and entertain older audiences. Whether that’s by performing a holiday set list that’s perfect for any age group, or by crafting a set list of classic songs (and sing-alongs!) from the 1940s-1970s, I really love performing in these settings!
Bringing music to senior communities is more than just entertainment. The songs we sing connect us to our pasts, to our loved ones, and to ourselves. There is nothing more touching than seeing someone’s face light up when they hear a song they love, or hearing from a staff member that a usually quiet resident perked up and joined a sing-along.
When it comes to performing for assisted living facilities, nursing homes, memory care groups, or senior centers, I vary my playlist for the audience and time of the year.
In March, I perform a mix of Irish-American classic sing-alongs and Celtic folk songs.
During the holiday season, I perform Christmas carols and classics.
Other times of the year, I perform a mix of familiar favorites from the 1940s onward, from country to jazzy pop songs. I often mix in some of my own favorite folk songs, too, tying in to the time of year and finding ways to make it interesting and relevant to the audience.

I am available for performances all over the Boston and Providence areas! I am also open to traveling a little further afield to Portland, ME and Central MA.
-
Due to most performances being scheduled during weekdays I frequently play solo. But on some occasions I can book a friend to join me, playing fiddle, mandolin, or another folk instrument. Feel free to ask!
-
I ask $150-250 for hour-long performances depending on the location.

As described above, it depends on the time of year! But here’s a sample of a playlist for any time of year:

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling
La Vie En Rose (Edith Piaf)
You Belong to Me
Here Comes the Sun (The Beatles)
Over the Rainbow
If I Lose (Stanley Brothers)
Tennessee Waltz
Wild Mountain Thyme
Brown-Eyed Girl (Van Morrison)
Can’t Help Falling In Love (Elvis)
