Never is the emotional power of music more evident to me than when playing for weddings and proposals! Providing the soundtrack for one of the most romantic and memorable moments in a person’s life is an incredible honor, and I’m proud to say I’ve had the opportunity to do so over 250 times for couples throughout New England.

Whatever I'm booked for, I always work with couples and clients to curate the perfect folky, acoustic playlist tailored to their tastes and the needs of their event. Here on my site you can find samples and a song list to choose from, plus I can offer suggestions and guide you through the planning process. In addition to popular cover songs and the go-to wedding classical pieces, I have a unique focus on Celtic music, singing and playing evocative Irish and Scottish melodies on fingerstyle guitar.

Location

I am available for events in the Nashville / Middle Tennessee area and in Boston and all over Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont and Connecticut.

I am also frequently back in Montana to see family, and love any extra excuses to go! I could accommodate events in Bozeman or Billings easily, and am open to other locations.

Instrumentation

I most often perform solo, typically singing and accompanying myself or performing instrumental guitar pieces, though I can also coordinate a duo or trio with friends who play violin/fiddle, mandolin, bass, banjo, accordion, concertina, or uilleann pipes.

My New England-based bands The Ivy Leaf (Irish/Celtic) and The New Grown-Ups (Americana/country/newgrass) are also available! Both groups are experienced with weddings and also playing music outside our main genres. Ask about the possibilities!

Services

Ceremony music // Cocktail hour music // First dance and parent dances // Dinner music // Proposal song(s)

Special requests: I'm always happy to learn and arrange something that isn't already in my repertoire, just for you! On a few occasions I have also accompanied a friend or family member who wanted to sing or play during the ceremony or reception.

Reviews

“From start to finish Lindsay was incredibly professional, kind, flexible and helpful! She even helped give me recommendations for another friend who was looking for musical services for an unrelated event. When the day of the wedding came, she truly helped make the whole day go beautifully and smoothly. Her singing and guitar playing is outstanding and she is very friendly and professional! She was a pleasure to work with and so talented! I will recommend her time and time again!”

“Hiring Lindsay for our wedding ceremony on 10/5/18 was one of the best decisions we could have made! Lindsay was so wonderful to work with throughout the whole process, and even went out of her way to learn two different songs for our ceremony which made it so much more personal and special. Lindsay is truly gifted and having her play at our ceremony made all the difference!”

“Lindsay's music really took our ceremony to another level. Coming around the corner to walk down the aisle, hearing the first few notes of the song and then her beautiful voice transported me. I walked down the aisle with both of my parents and we were laughing and joking around while waiting. As soon as she started playing the song for us, something changed, we all had immediate tears in our eyes, it was time! That was one of the most amazing moments of my life, and her music was the soundtrack was a huge part of the feeling that I remember."
