Interview with Muriel Anderson

This month, I had the opportunity to interview the incredible and delightful Muriel Anderson at The North American Guitar. Muriel is one of those players who challenges what you thought fingerstyle guitar could be, adapting tunes you wouldn’t expect and somehow wrangling melody, bass lines, and harmonic lines with just her two hands. And when a standard flat-top wasn’t enough, she reached for the harp guitar, an instrument she’s undoubtedly had a major hand in popularizing.

What more needs to be said? Just listen for yourself, and be sure to check out Muriel’s wealth of albums, videos, projects, and educational content at murielanderson.com.
